The pace of change in society, technology and schools has accelerated since the beginning of the millennium. These changes allow us to rethink our traditions and challenge us to transform them. In schools such changes are evident in the demographic makeup of the classroom; how young people consume, make and create music; how music is taught and transmitted; etc.
The theme for the 31st EAS Conference in Dublin, “Traditions in Transformation”, invites music educators to examine and reflect on what music learning and teaching looks like in the contemporary classroom.
d@rts is invited to the Conference to showcase a poster presentation featuring: Runa Hestad Jenssen, Jens Knigge, Michael Ahlers and Valerie Krupp.
