Work Package 4

Description

Work Package 4 (WP4) aims to develop and implement the DIALOGART format across European partner countries. The goal is to enhance cultural literacy within target communities and to evaluate the impact of cultural literacy on social inclusion. Building on the methodological foundation of WP3, WP4 uses its cases and findings to inform and support ongoing developments and actions.

WP4 adopts a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, engaging community members not just as participants but as partners involved at every research stage. This includes developing interventions, recruiting participants, collecting data, interpreting findings, delivering interventions, and disseminating results. The DIALOGART format, developed within WP4, employs a progressive process framework to ensure maximum participation, including outreach, consultation, involvement, collaboration, and shared leadership.

The DIALOGART format is to be implemented in partner countries, with representatives of participating communities involved through outreach activities. These activities, which have a transformative impact on social inclusion and cohesion, activate responsible participation through dialogical processes within democratic perspectives of societies.

Who

Lead partners for WP4 are Kulturanova (KULT) and the University of Verona (UNIVR).

Participating partners include PuntoZero (PZero), Nord University (NORD), and the University of Cologne (UCol), along with the University of Jyväskylä (JYU).

Each partner plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and evaluating the DIALOGART format within their respective countries, ensuring that the format is adaptable and impactful across diverse communities.

Deliverables

  • Establishing Local Steering Committees (LSCs) to ensure community engagement and motivation, developing outreach activities, and supervising the use of funds for local-level activities.

  • Implementing the DIALOGART format over a 5-month period, which includes community storytelling, inter-community dialogues, and final performance preparations. Additionally, KULT coordinates the DIALOGART format implementation across all countries.

  • Engaging pilot groups to compile portfolios in WP5 and identifying participants from communities involved in DIALOGART activities.

  • Conducting participatory evaluations with the community, using participatory tools and techniques to gather and analyze data, and sharing results with local communities through round-table events.

Overall, the goals and impact of WP4 include ensuring the DIALOGART format’s replicability in different countries, involving communities actively from the beginning, promoting cultural literacy through practical and creative means, enhancing social cohesion by involving entire communities, using art as a learning environment, including activities both digitally and physically, and supporting non-professional participants
